Star of Blackstone Stops by!

Renowned Aboriginal actor and star of APTN's Blackstone, Ray Thunderchild, popped into our studio for a session. We're working on the radio imaging for Vancouver's newest and only fully Aboriginal radio station, CJNY 106.3 FM. The station is set for 2018 fall launch and Ray is being considered as the new voice of the station. Ray is a true character and 'larger than life' with his 6'5'' frame. Ray is a proud Cree and carries a long history of activism, acting and storytelling across Canada for many years. Ray, also a talented drum maker, plays the drum, and sings in his native tongue. We were lucky enough to capture this performance in the studio! We will keep the site updated on who will be the voice of CJNY!
